Purchases & restoring access
I bought a deck (or All-Access) and it's not unlocked
Open Closer, go to Profile → Restore Purchases. This re-checks your App Store account and re-applies anything you've already paid for. It doesn't create a new charge.
How do I restore purchases after reinstalling the app or switching devices?
Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple ID you used to buy the deck, install Closer, then go to Profile → Restore Purchases. Your unlocked decks and any All-Access purchase will come back automatically.
What does All-Access include?
One purchase unlocks all 11 current decks and any deck we add in the future — no extra charge, ever, on that Apple ID.
I want a refund
All purchases go through Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com, or from your iPhone: Settings → your name → Media & Purchases → View Account → Purchase History.
Using the app
What's the CORE ladder?
Every deck is sequenced by depth: Context, Opinion, Reflection, Experience. Cards start light and climb, so the conversation deepens naturally instead of jumping straight to something heavy.
What's the Conversation Gym?
A solo practice mode. You're given a real scenario and a few possible responses — pick one and get instant feedback on whether it builds connection or shuts it down. You earn XP and level up your rank as you go.
Can I play solo, without a partner or group?
Yes — Inner Mirror is a dedicated solo deck for journaling and self-reflection, and the Conversation Gym is solo by design. Every other deck is built for two or more.
Why does Closer ask for microphone access?
Some decks use short audio prompts as part of the dialogue experience. You can decline microphone access and still play every deck — you'll just skip the audio-based cards.
Is my progress saved if I delete the app?
Your purchases are tied to your Apple ID and come back with Restore Purchases. Local progress (like Conversation Gym rank) lives on your device, so it resets if you delete and reinstall the app.

Content & age ratings
Closer contains mature conversational themes in some decks — most notably After Dark, which includes frank discussion of intimacy and is intended for adults 18+. Other decks (Tough Talks, Couples) touch on real relationship conflict. All content is text-based conversation prompts; there are no images, video, or explicit material in the app itself.
